Bristol Tutorial College: Your Pathway to Success

Welcome to Bristol Tutorial College (BTC)!  I am delighted to introduce this brand new offer to students in Greater Bristol and the South-West who are 16+.

Our College recognises that, for many sixth-formers, they may have outgrown the traditional school structure and may also desire a slightly different approach to their educational needs.  Whether it’s a bespoke A-Level provision, or resits because a student has missed an important grade, small class sizes and a more personalised approach from our subject specialist teachers awaits.  BTC is located in the heart of the University of Bristol district at #1 Berkeley Square, Clifton, and combines a setting for focused study whilst also allowing the individual to flourish in a more grown up pre-university setting.

A-Levels and Resits

Our A-Level programme is individually tailored to meet the specific needs of each student. Whether you are sitting one A-Level or three A-Levels, we will support you with small class sizes, highly experienced teaching staff, a wide range of practice assessment tasks, detailed feedback on how to improve your marks and mock assessments in exam conditions. Our goal is to help you achieve the grades you need to progress to University and your future career.

Bespoke Education

We can provide you with a specialised learning programme which can be tailored to meet your needs. You may need to resit some GCSE or A Level courses as you need a pass to progress onto your chosen career pathway? You may have passed these courses but want to achieve higher marks?

GCSEs and Resits

You may need to resit some GCSEs for a number of reasons. We can offer you resits in IGCE courses in English Language, English Literature and Mathematics. IGCSEs are offered as an intensive one-year programme beginning in September. This is suitable for students of all ages who may want to resit due to family relocation, illness or personal circumstances.

“Working with Chrisie is amazing. I was so worried because I hadn’t got the grades I needed for uni, but she is helping me understand some of the tricky bits of Economics A Level. I feel confident for the first time ever!”

“I’m so happy! I’m off to UCL this year! The teachers at Bristol Tutorial College were brilliant and kind. I got better grades than I could have dreamt of.”

“I honestly thought I was stupid and there was no point trying. I had stopped going to school in Year 12 and thought I’d burnt my bridges. But the BTC teachers took the time to explain things properly and made the lessons fun. I am applying for a Game Design and Production degree now and am so excited for my future.”

“I wish all teachers were like Claire and Paul. They treated me like an adult and made the course easy to manage.”

“Chrisie is a positive and gifted teacher who nurtures confidence and brings out the best in a pupil. Her experience, in depth knowledge of the curriculum, and clear and well planned instruction, is the reason my daughter is off to a promising start for a very bright future ahead.”
